Owen Hammond is a dynamic and innovative leader with almost 20 years of experience in the healthcare industry. As the CEO and Principal of Cascadia Healthcare, he is responsible for the overall strategic direction and operational performance of the company, overseeing a portfolio of 46 skilled nursing facilities, 10 assisted living and independent living facilities, and a home health and hospice agency, across 6 states.
Prior to joining Cascadia, Owen was the President and CEO of Signum Healthcare, a subsidiary of The Ensign Group, a publicly traded company that covers the entire state of California. He had management responsibility for all aspects of Signum, their largest portfolio company, and reported to the CEO, COO, and the Board of Directors for The Ensign Group.
Owen joined The Ensign Group in March 2008 as the Executive Director at a regional skilled nursing facility and was appointed as a New Market CEO in 2010, and then in 2012 as President and CEO created Pennant Healthcare, another subsidiary of Ensign in the Northwest. As President and CEO, his core responsibilities included overseeing the company’s financial, regulatory, clinical, cultural, administrative, and operational functions. He was appointed President and CEO of Signum Healthcare in February 2014.
