He began his career at Towne Nursing, a healthcare staffing agency, where his exceptional people skills and visionary mindset quickly propelled him to a leadership position. Within his role as Senior VP, he guided the company to expand from a New York-based company servicing 100 SNFs to a tri-state operation servicing more than 500 facilities. During his time at Towne Nursing, Ephraim drove a culture of innovation, progressive thinking, and strategic growth.
Mr. Nussbaum is an experienced entrepreneur, having co-founded and served as CEO of Towne Healthcare, a national healthcare company. He also played a key role in filling the need for resources in the therapy and rehab staffing fields by founding several other successful companies, including Granderson Management Therapy Staffing and Ista Solutions.
Ephraim’s expertise extends far beyond the boardroom. He’s passionate about providing quality care to those in need, and he’s made it his mission to do so through his involvement in the founding of Garden Healthcare and Northwood Healthcare in 2016. Ephraim currently remains on the principal side for these Ohio-based skilled nursing portfolios, working tirelessly with the executive leadership and operations teams to ensure long-term goals are met.
In 2018, Ephraim co-founded Empire Care Centers, which operates 21 skilled nursing facilities and one assisted living facility across Georgia and Florida. Under his guidance, the company has successfully turned multiple failing operations into cash-flow positive facilities, established strong relationships with the medical community to provide quality care to patients, and implemented state-of-the-art technology in each facility. His innovative strategies, unmatched dedication, and growth-oriented mindset have helped the company emerge as a leader in the healthcare industry, improving the lives of countless patients and families.
In addition to his role at Empire Care Centers, Ephraim serves on the board of the American Healthcare Association Future Leaders, which enables him to be on the Congressional Briefing Committee. He also sits on the Georgia Healthcare Association Budget and Finance Committee.
